ATTEND PPI MADIUN GRADUATION, DIRECTOR GENERAL OF RAILWAYS: BE PREPARED TO FACE WORK DIFFICULTIES
Madiun (26/09) - Director General of Railways Zulfikri attended the Graduation Ceremony and Open Senate Session of the Class V PPI Madiun 2021 on Sunday (26/09). This activity was held at the Indonesian Railways Polytechnic Auditorium (PPI) Madiun with the implementation of strict health protocols and was only attended by graduation participants and limited invited guests. Even with the implementation of strict health protocols, it does not reduce the solemnity of the event being held.
In his remarks, Zulfikri not only appreciated the achievements of the graduates, but also conveyed the importance of thorough self-preparation for cadets before entering the world of work. Moreover, with the changes that occur in society, including those caused by the pandemic, the challenges that will be faced by graduates will be more complex. "Changes in behavioral habits and various policies in the transportation sector are an extra challenge for transportation personnel in carrying out their duties," he continued.
In addition to reminding the importance of preparing to face the challenges of the world of work, Zulfikri also emphasized the importance of awareness to always improve one's capabilities in dealing with technological developments in the world of railways. Furthermore, Zulfikri also reminded graduates not to be careless and lose to the rapid development of technology that has begun to use artificial intelligence today. "Therefore, as transportation personnel, we must continue to improve our skills, knowledge and attitudes in order to be able to provide the best service to the community," said Zulfikri in front of the graduates.
At the end of his speech, Zuklfikri expressed hope for the graduates to become the next generation of better transportation people. Zulfikri also advised all railway operators in Indonesia to open the door as wide as possible for graduates to contribute in building railways in Indonesia. "In front of our eyes, there are Railway Transportation Officers, excellent Railway Human Resources who are ready to devote their skills and knowledge," he continued.
In this activity, as many as 217 cadets were determined to be graduates after attending education in four study programs organized by PPI Madiun. In addition, in this activity, the names of the graduates who became the best graduates from each study program were also determined. The winners of each of the best graduates from each study program were Muhammad Kesuma Caesarasyid, A.Md.T. from the Diploma III Study Program in Building Technology and Railways, Syahrul Ihsan, A.Md.T. from the Diploma III Study Program in Railway Electrical Technology, Aslam Ramadhani, A.Md.T. from Diploma III Study Program in Railway Mechanics Technology, from Berliana Maulidya Agristi, A.Md.Tra from Diploma III Study Program in Railway Transportation Management. Meanwhile, the cadets who were designated as the best graduates of the PPI Madiun Class V were Aslam Ramadhani, A.Md.T. from the Diploma III Study Program in Railway Mechanics Technology.
PPI Madiun is one of the official schools under the guidance of the Transportation Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMP) of the Ministry of Transportation. This educational institution which was founded in 2012 has a vision to become a center of excellence and innovation in vocational education and training in the technical field of global technology-based railways by 2030. In addition, PPI Madiun was also established to support the needs of railway human resources which reached 1,720 regulators and 78,740 people.
