Jakarta - The meeting at Gedung Karya was conducted to sign the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Transportation with PT Mott Macdonald Indonesia and The Crossrail International which was witnessed directly by the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi. The Minister of Transportation, Mr. Budi Karya Sumadi conveyed several things, including:

1. The Cooperation Agreement aims to ensure the operational readiness of the Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the Jakarta - Bandung High Speed Train, which are currently heading into the final stages of construction and will be planned to operate in high safety later this year.
2. The Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the Jakarta - Bandung Fast Train use the most advanced technology in Indonesia, namely the Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) developed with a Grade Of Automation (GoA) level 3 system that can be operated without a driver. While the Jakarta - Bandung Fast Train uses GSM-R technology, which is the first technology used in Indonesia.

The signing was attended by the Minister of Transportation and representatives of the British Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste. The UK is one of the countries that has good experience in building railroad infrastructure, and this collaboration is expected to further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and the UK.
