LEADING THE HANDOVER, DIRECTOR GENERAL ENCOURAGES THE EMPLOYEES TO BE INNOVATIVE IN DEVELOPING RAILWAY TECHNOLOGY

JAKARTA (13/06) – After previously being inaugurated by the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Director General of Railways, Zulfikri led the process of handing over the positions of Administrator and Supervisory Officers within the Directorate General of Railways on Monday, June 13, 2022 in Jakarta. The officials who carried out the handover of positions were Catur Wicaksono, ATD, MT. as Head of Finance, Sovia Aviantie, SE., MM. as Head of Sub-directorate of Human Resources Certification and Institutional Accreditation, Hendrialdi, A.T.D., M.T. as Head of Sub-directorate of Audit and Safety Inspection, Faozaro Jaya Arisman Harefa, ST, ME. as Head of Sub-directorate of Accident Examination and Analysis, Prayudi, ST, MT. Head of the Sub-Directorate of State-Owned Facilities Management, Supandi, SS, MT. as Head of Class II Railway Engineering Center for Western Sumatra Region, Suranto, ATD, MT. as Head of Sub-directorate of Engineering and Safety Improvement, Awang Meindra, S.SiT, MT. as Head of the Sub-Directorate of Traffic, Ir. Tjatur Widianto, DESS as Head of the Railway Testing Center, Prih Galih, ST., MT. as Head of the Sub-Directorate of Feasibility of Railway Operation Facilities, Dedik Tri Istiantara, SE. S. SIT, MT. as Head of the South Sumatra Light Rail Management Center, Yohary Baruna Putra, ST. as Head of the Railway Infrastructure Testing Section, Amanda Pritasari, ST., MT. as Head of the Railway Facility Testing Section, and Rachmat Dalu, SE., M.MT. as Head of Facilities and Infrastructure Utilization Section.

In his remarks, Zulfikri said that transfers and promotions were part of the dynamics of the organization which was carried out to equalize the existing needs. "I congratulate the newly inaugurated officials. Hopefully they will be able to carry out their new duties well. Because this is still within DJKA, each of them already knows their duties and functions," explained Zulfikri.

Furthermore, Zulfikri appreciated the innovation efforts made by Prih Galih on the South Sumatra LRT as the former Head of the South Sumatra Light Railroad. Prih Galih's efforts have successfully proven in improving the service quality and increasing the number of passengers on the South Sumatra LRT. "During his visit to the South Sumatra LRT, the Minister was proud of DJKA's efforts to increase services and the number of users of the South Sumatra LRT. Therefore, this innovation must be continued because the South Sumatra LRT is one of the National Strategic Projects," added Zulfikri. Zulfikri also hopes that the Directorate General of Railways will not only act as a regulator in overseeing the safety and construction of railways, but should also be able to provide services to the community directly.

At the end of his remarks, Zulfikri reminded to always open up to be able to adapt and understand the operation of railways with high technology, also to change the mindset from conventional railway technology, to welcome the presence of three railway projects which are expected to operate no later than 2024, namely the Jabodebek LRT,  Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, and Makassar-Parepare Railway. “In facing the challenges of railway technology, professional human resources are needed in order to oversee the regulations for implementing high-tech railways, so that they can be implemented with a full sense of responsibility and benefit the community. Hopefully the mandate conveyed can be carried out well." Zulfikri concluded.

Also attending the event were the Secretary of the Directorate General of Railways, the Director of Rail Transport Traffic, the Director of Railway Infrastructure, and the Director of Railway Facilities. (PHP)
