Follow-up to First Trial of Double Track Prabumulih Station - Lembak Station

(Bekasi 13/10) - To support increasingly advanced transportation during the economic and social recovery, which focuses on logistics and tourism connectivity that is safe, secure, comfortable and healthy for the public using public transportation, in early October the Railways Infrastructure Testing Team from The Railways Testing Office of the Directorate General of Railways is assigned to test the Double Track Railway between Prabumulih Station to Lembak Station in South Sumatra with the test object of the existing track that has been operating for ± 7.5 km.

The line used for the passage of passenger and freight trains as well as long chain coal (babaranjang) did not escape testing. With several series of tests such as design testing in the form of measuring the width of the railroad using the Track Gauge Meter test tool, measuring the bearing distance using a meter and measuring the free space to determine the safety of the railway line from obstacles or disturbances that can interfere with the safety of the train journey by method is measured from railway up to the boundaries of free space.

The results of the tests that have been carried out will be submitted to the Directorate of Railway Infrastructure for monitoring and evaluation and processed for the issuance of the first test certificate.
