In order to increase transparency and accountability in the implementation of audits, inspections, and safety assessment systems, quality management is required through ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Since 12 July 2022, the Directorate of Railway Safety in carrying out audit, inspection, and safety assessment activities refers to the ISO 9001:2015 certificate.

Audit, inspection, and safety assessment activities involve external stakeholders, namely railway operators, stakeholder development, and stakeholder procurement. 

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard that governs the quality management system of an organization. 

It provides principles and guidelines to help organizations achieve the goal of producing quality products or services.
