President Joko Widodo inaugurated the operation of the Yogyakarta-Solo Electric Rail Train at Yogyakarta Station on Monday (1/3). This KRL has actually been operating since February 10, 2021, but the inauguration of this KRL was only carried out on March 1, 2021 which was attended directly by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo and Governor of DIY Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X.

In his statement, Sri Sultan Hamengkubowono X said that this existence is very important for the community to study and work. "Hopefully this KRL choice will be a good choice for the community with the hope of being on time because they will study, study or work with the hope that with this KRL service they can feel better," said Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X

The President of the Republic of Indonesia assessed that this KRL is environmentally friendly and faster than Prameks. "This is an environmentally friendly mass transportation, I was told earlier that the KRL is faster than Prameks 10 minutes faster," said the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

Furthermore, Joko Widodo also said that the operational costs of the KRL are also cheaper. "Then in terms of operating costs, it is also cheaper. This is a very good efficiency" he said

President Joko Widodo also hopes that in the future the mode of transportation must be environmentally friendly. "I think our transportation modes in the future must all lead to environmentally friendly mass transportation," he said.
